Company History

MiCar Bodies was formed in March 1984, in a small workshop in Harbury, Leamington Spa, by Michael and Caroline Harvey – the two Christian names being combined to produce the business name.

The two partners had, by this time, gained a considerable amount of experience – Michael in all aspects of vehicle accident repairs, refinishing and body building and Caroline in accounts, credit control and general office duties.

The business moved to larger premises in Southam, in October 1986. These premises have recently been extended to facilitate more efficient working practices.

Over the years we have established excellent working relationships with many trade and private customers and insurance companies. Michael has been involved in all aspects of repair including repairing and modifying all types of vehicles including Police vehicles. In fact Michael has been involved with repairing Police vehicles since 1967.

Colin Harvey joined the business in 2001 and brought a new dynamic approach. He and his wife Katarina are now the new owners, Michael and Caroline having retired.

Colin and Katarina are keen to maintain up to date technological and environmental standards. He ensures that the business is always moving forwards and investing in new technologies.

MiCar Bodies was one of the first bodyshops to change to the new environmentally friendly, waterborne paint system and to acquire a laser four wheel alignment system.

Recently, the business policy has included applying for manufacturer’s approvals and as a result, we are proud to hold prestigious contracts for Mazda, Suzuki , Hyundai, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, MG, Toyota.

We remain a family business, committed to a quality service and customer satisfaction, and are confidently moving this business forwards to meet new demands and challenges.
